Yerba Nomadica workshops facilitate intimate connections with plants and place. Through playful and reciprocal work with las yerbas (herbs), we will explore the practical use of herbal medicines while expanding our awareness of ecological sentience.
Yerba Nomadica classes are regularly offered at the Tucson Herb Store in addition to elsewhere throughout Tucson and Southern Arizona. I have been honored to lead seasonal workshops at Borderlands Restoration Project in Patagonia, Arizona and to have been invited to share plant medicine knowledge with the University of Arizona’s School of Integrative Medicine.

Community herbalist Carla Vargas-Frank of Yerba Nomadica will be offering a workshop titled “Sonoran Desert Essences: Low Impact Herb Crafting and the Medicine of Place.” This interactive workshop will explore how to make and use essences and discuss how low impact herbal medicine benefits our delicate desert ecosystem in times of rapid environmental change.
$20-$25 *sliding scale. A portion of the proceeds will go towards People's Defense Initiative.
